1996 Honda Accord Not sure if transmission is bad

Transmission problem
1996 Honda Accord 4 cyl Automatic 160000 miles

when driving, the cars RPM's reaches high numbers and the speed decreases to 20mph. What could this be? I had the oil changed just days before this problem occured.

Hi elishia_73,

Possibly the transmission fluid level is low. If transmission fluid was also replaced during the oil change, possibly insufficient fluid was refilled or there is a leakages somewhere.
