water leaking, steady stream from passenger side of engine. Believe it is freeze plug. Except for engine overheating when water drained, does not affect performance. What is the approximate cost to replace. Does this sound accurate?

Could be the water pump too...engine is transverse (sideway). Check before part purchase!
