I'm trying to replace the passenger side CV Axle on my 96 Accord. I have the Haynes manual to assist me, but it is diffiicult to understand because the intsructions are very vague to me. I have removed the axle nut and the steering knuckle bolts but now I'm stuck. Can you tell me what else needs to be removed in order to remove the old CV axle. Any help would be greatly appreciated? Also, am I in over my head with this project?

You have the vehicle jacked up and securely supported.

Right? Next I assume you have the brake removed from the assembly. Two bolts will take care of that. Then use an old piece of wire to wire the caliper up to the strut to get it out of the way.

Next with the castle nut of the knuckle, use a pry bar to knock the knuckle apart. Once you get it apart, you should be able to pull the assembly outward. This should let the threaded end of the axle come oiut of the wheel assembly. Then using your pry bar or a big screw driver, gently pry the CV axle out of the tranny. Reverse to reassemble.
