Selnoid still leaks even after I put a new O ring on the selnoid side of the engine. I replaced the O ring on the Distributor. That is not where it is leaking. It is leaking on the selnoid side of the engine block. I am taking it out again and see what else I can do to stop the leak. You think maybe there is a hair line crack where the bottom bolt goes on? Is the selnoid side of the engine is it high pressured or not? Please reply. Thank you. Manny

Hi Manny,
The pressure there is quite high and when installing, it should be done evenly. There is another seal between the top and bottom part of the solenoid.

I replaced both O rings on the selnoid but it still leaks. There is just not enough surface to hold the pressure of the oil in or not enough torque on the bolts I guess. There is probably not specs on how much pressure to bolt it down is there? Thanks Manny

Hi Manny,
The tightening torque for the solenoid bolts are 12 nM ( 106 inch/lbs)
Oil pressure is 50 psi at 3000 rpm and minimum of 10 psi at idle.
I woud suggest checking for warpage on the solenoid seal face.
