Hello. I have a friend who has a vehicle that overheats on short distances. He is not sure why and had taken the vehicle to a local car shop and they did not give them much explanation. Could you have any idea?

Hi KarenHRN,

There are many possible causes for overheating.

1. Stuck thermostat.
2. Insufficient coolant.
3. Cooling fans not working.
4. Clogged radiator.
5. Bad water pump.
