Heater problem
1995 Honda Accord 85,000 miles

My daughter's Honda Accord (sorry do not have engine size or some other information) this afternoon started revving quite loudly in Park. Kicking it down did help once but statrted revving again and remained revving until put into Drive. There was no heat and the fan remained on after she took the key out. Any ideas what might be going on?

For high idle problem:

1. Check throttle cable for any possible damage
2. Clean throttle body from carbon build up
3. Remove, clean, and re-install idle air control motor
4. Check throttle position sensor operation
5. Check for loose, broken, pinched vacuum hoses and lines

No heat
Do you have enough coolant?
Check your coolant temp sensor

Fan
Your fan should stay on until the engine cools off. If it stays on for more than 10 minutes, check fan relay, under the hood. This can be related to no heat if your heater core is plugged up.
