Engine Mechanical problem
1995 Honda Accord 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 136k miles

My ignition is not turning over.. it is not making as ticking noise that i have experienced w/ other autos.. (like the ticking from a battery or alternator). But it is just not turning over normally. When i flood the engine with some gas it does eventually start after a few trys. What does this sound like and how serious could this be?
Thanks

What I think you are trying to say is that the engine will crank with the starter but is not catching and starting right away like it should.

If you have to flood the engine to get it to shart I might want to check a couple of things. For instance, the simple basic stuff like air filter, plugs, timing. If you notice no difference, I might take a look at the fuel pressure.

What you haven't mentioned is how it runs after it is started. Does it run well, is the mileage way down?
