Initially the car had a hard time starting. We would have to keep the key turned in the ignition for 2 or 3 seconds before it would start. Then, the car would start, but once we started driving, it would have a few small shakes. When you would press down on the gas pedal, nothing would happen and the car would stall out. Then, after stalling the car would not start back up. Sometimes it would spark, but would stall out. These problems are inconsistent. We took it to a mechanic and they could not diagnose the problem as the car would not "act up" for them. They did check the fuel filter and fuel pump and said they looked fine. Do you have any ideas what may be wrong?
