My AC has recently stopped working. What I've noticed is that I don't feel it "kicking on" anymore. I'm not even trying to use it in case it would cause more issues. From what I've read it may be a mechanism called the 'clutch'. Is it possible that it's just because I'm out of freon? Could I fix it myself if I have no experience? I put new brake pads on myself but perhaps the clutch is in an area that isn't reachable without being on a lift.
Thanks!

Hi tuniejr,

If it is the clutch, I don't think you can fix it yourself.

I would suspect it to be out of freon, so you need to test for leakages in the system.
