car idles high when cold started, and it just started to idle high also when it is warm , so it idles high all the time, i checked the idle air control valve, doesnt look bad, i dont have the funds to buy a new one if thats not the problem, it idles a little above 2000 rpm when first started and decreases then when warm again at 2000 again,what should i look for? also the check engine light comes on periodically.
