I am not sure what the devil he is talking about but that problem is clearly related to the "rotor" or "disc". With the stopping and starting of today's driving, the heat builds up in the rotor and can cause them to warp. You could have them turned or planed but the thinner they are the easier they are to warp again. The cost of new is really not a lot more than the price to have them turned. You might ask if this is what they were talking about.
