1994 Honda Accord 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic LOTS miles

OK A COUPLE WEEKS AGO I BACKED MY CAR OUT INTO STREET TO LEAVE AND THEN PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT WOULD NOT GO. FINALLY I DID GET IT BACK INTO DRIVEWAY. (IT WILL SWITCH INTO OTHER GEARS) 3 DAYS AGO WE WENT OUT TO START IT AND LET IT RUN WE DECIDED TO SEE IF IT WOULD GO AND IT DID RIGHT INTO DRIVE AND OUT THE DRIVEWAY IT WENT. WE DROVE IT A COUPLE BLKS. THEN PULLED INTO DRIVEWAY PUT IN PARK AND THEN TRIED TO DRIVE AGAIN AND STUCK AGAIN. WE HAD TO PUSH IT INTO DRIVEWAY. ONE MORE THING WHEN ITS RUNNING IT KINDA SOUNDS SICK MAKING A HIGH LOW SOUND. (VROOM-VROOM)

Hi Tcarlson,

Seems the trans is failing and the problem is most probably caused by pressure leakages. Check if there is sufficient fluid in the trans.

As to the engine noise that you mentioned, it should be surging. Does the idling speed move up and down erratically?
