hi, my name is kash. I just bought a 1994 Honda aaccord 4cyl car. Every time i start the car and put on drive ABS sign comes on. I took the car to mechanic and he said that i need to change the ABS pump. But, i was wondering if i can get little advice before i spend the money.So, what is the best thing to do at this moment?

Hi Kash,

What was the error code? If it is anything to do with pressure, then the pump is quitelikely to be the cause.

Does the ABS motor keep running when you start the engine?

If yes then you need to replace the ABS pump assy. If you do replace the pump, in order to prolong its lifespan, replace the fluid in it every year.
