1992 Honda Accord transmission will not shift out of 1st or

if you put the car in drive and take off, transmission slips then finally moves. If you shift all the way to first gear it takes off good but will not shift automatically from 2nd to 3rd gear or overdrive

I would jump the service connector and check for any possible codes. Also how is the condition of the transmission fluid?
