How do I get to the stat hose that goes to the block to tighten it down.

Hi biglou0987,

The water pump pipe is plugged into the thermostat and water housing with an O ring at each end.
It is held by a bolt near the oil filter, behind the engine mount bracket.

What do you mean by tightening?
