I just bought this 92 Accord with 65k. i decided to change the plugs to have a baseline for future maintenance. when i put the socket down into the "well" to remove the spark plugs, it came out with oil on the socket and on the plug. this happened with 3 out of the 4 plugs. is this a problem?

just to be clear, there was oil on the top side of the plug.

It sounds like the valve cover is leaking. Check that to see if that is where the oil is coming from. It can puddle in the plug wells.
