Hi rtoombs, You need to retrieve the trouble codes to understand what is causing the D4 light to blink. Trouble codes have been stored in the TCM and you can retrieve the trouble codes by bridging the SCS and counting the D4 light blinking with ignition turned ON. If the TCM is equipped with a LED window, turn ignition ON and count the blinking from the LED window. Is the speedometer working correctly? Any other performance faults?
