Okay on the honda pedals (clutch and break) there are small holes that plastic pads go into. Over time these crack and fall off causing your break lights to stay on. Well after mine cracked and my break lights stayed on and then it was replaced my cruise control stopped working. It would not turn on (light on dash cluster would not light up) I had to adjust the peddle switches and now it will come on, but will not hold speed. Checked vacuum lines and they are good. Now what else could I check? Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Hi gisloc,

If the brake and clutch pedal switches are faulty or out of adjustment, the cruise control would not hold speed or it would intermittently disengage if vehicle encounters any bumps on the road.

To adjust the brake/clutch switch, disconnect the electrical connetor, loosen the lock nut, turn the switch fully in until there is no more clearance between the rubber stopper and the switch button. Back off switch by 1/2 a turn and retighten the lock nut.

Retest if it works.
