Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Honda Accord 4 cyl Automatic 156,00 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
My honda accord just broke down on me. I just put in a new starter and a new alternator within the past month. I also got a new battery. Today I was driving onto the highway and when i was accelerating my car started to putter. The noise was a little metallic at times like a metal pop, but not very loud. When the acclereator was pressed down the car would not go but when i released the car would surge. I then pulled to the shoulder and the oil and battery lights both came on and the car died. I was able to drive about a mile to a gas station where i put in 3 qts of oil because it was very very low. I was able to get to a traffic light when it stalled out. Then after waiting for about 10 minutes it would stall then it started and i was able to get out of the intersection. What is causing this problem? Thank you.

Hi jvanfleet,

I would suggest checking the main relay.
