Shifts down by it self. plunger to release shifter activates on and off by it self, without pressing brake pedal

What do you mean plunger?

Autos are supposed to downshift when the vehicle slows down. If upshifting and down shifting are harsh or overly sensitive, then the trans throttle pressure control cable might be out of adjustment.
