1991 Honda Accord speedometer

I have a 91 honda accord with a manual transmission. When i began to drive in 1st gear my speedometer stays at 0 . But once i put my car in 2nd gear my speedometer begans to read. But the reading is off by 20 mph!!!! Please help

Have you replaced the meter before? When did this start happening?

Check the speed sensor.
