If the power steering pump has a front seal leak can the seal be replaced or does the whole pump have to be replaced.

POWER STEERING PUMP
Front Seal Replacement Without Disassembling Pump
Remove pump from vehicle. See POWER STEERING PUMP under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Hold pulley with spanner wrench. Remove pulley nut and pulley. See Fig. 7 and Fig. 8 . Loosen pump front cover bolts in a diagonal pattern. Remove cover. Using a screwdriver, pry out housing seal.
Ensure oil passage in front cover is clear. Using a 19-mm socket, install new oil seal. Install front cover bolts. Tighten bolts diagonally to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table. Install pulley. Tighten bolt to specification.
Turn pulley bolt with torque wrench to measure preload. Preload should be 35 INCH lbs. (4 N.m). Install and adjust belt. Add fluid. Bleed air from system. Check for leaks.
NOTE:Power steering pump overhaul is limited to front cover, control valve, pulley hub and seal replacement
