hello my check engine light ran a bad ecu. i bought a used one and now when i turn the key tjust enough to get the radio to come on without starting it, the check engine light no longer pops up immediatly. i started it and it idled fine. i shut it off and tried again but this time everything shut off including lights. no power at all and i just replaced my car bttery the other day. i unhooked the battery and reconnected. i turned the key halfway and everything worked fine untill i go to start it and then all power shuts off. it doesnt even turn over. iis it possible this ecu is bad as well?

Most lights on the dash will turn on without the ecu being plugged in.

If no lights turn on, i'd investigate the ignition switch, power and ground cables/connections.
