what model accord? i would reccommend the next time it decides to crank go to the auto parts store and have a battery and load test done on the battery and alternator to start because hey..... its free....but to speculate on other possiblilties it could just be a worn out starter and its not as efficent as it used to be but first make sure its getting the amperage it needs to work right IE. fresh battery + good alternator.... good luck :)

Suggested Repair

When the car does crank, have the battery and alternator load-tested at an auto parts store. Confirm the starter is getting adequate amperage from a good battery and charging system before replacing a possibly worn starter.

The expert asks for the Accord model and recommends a free battery and alternator load test the next time it cranks, noting a worn starter is possible but power supply should be checked first.
