Daughter was driving car and water pump went out completely. Luckily she was a short distance from home and did not overheat the engine. On the way to be repaired the engine totally quit when the timing belt came off. We replaced the pump and the timing belt, but are having difficulty getting it started. Timing belt is properly aligned and there's spark and fuel. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Hi Wob,

Test the compression, it could be bent valves causing compression leaks. Do a wet test too.
