Whenever it rains, water gets into the tail lights. They are not loose, cracked or broken and I can not find anything wrong with how they are sealed. It rains, they accumulate water and then the brake lamp light on the warning indicator lights up. How do you stop the water from getting in the tail lights? Do the tail lights need to be completely replaced?

Hi Learjetgal59,

If water is getting into the trunk badly, you need to check the taillight seal.

Use a garden hose to test, you should be able to spot the leakage if it is due to the seal.

2nd possibility are through the lens and housing seams which I believe is less likely if the leakage is severe.
