I just replaced a broken knob on the temp. control on my duaghter's 90 Accord LX, and noticed that it was very difficult to turn down to cooler side. Is that control attached to a cable? How difficult to replace the cable? What are some other possible causes?
Thanks!

Lubrication of the cable might be the answer. I know that the knob in question does go out and gets old and weak. Little lube and I think you will be ok.
