Hi prkush,

Most probably the refrigerant has been overfilled. Get the static, low and high pressure readings to confirm.

actually the gas was low earlier and the problem remained even after charging, wondering if it can be caused by a blockage in the expansion valve!

Wondering does not provide the answer.

Get the low and high pressure readings and we will see what it tells us.
