On the main power steering hose one end is fastened with bolts and the other end appears to be pressed in with an O-ring seal. How can I remove the O-ring side and when installing the new hose do I just press the end back in and it will seal. Is this a job better left to a professional? Thanks.

Hi morrisk1969,

The end of the power steering pressure hose attached to the steering valve body does not have any O ring. It is a tapered fitting that self seals when tightened.

The pump side is attached with 2 bolts and has an O ring that should be replaced when removed.

Job should not be too difficult but you need some hand bending and removal of some externalparts for easier access.
