1989 Honda Accord rack and pinion

im replacing my rack and pinion.i have taken all bolts and brackets off.do i need to drop the steering wheel from inside to remove from yolk?

Hi running horse,

You need not drop the steering column but you need to disconnect the universal coupling at bottom of column.
