where is freeze plug located on 89 honda accord lx
and how do i change it

Hi Mindy,

Well there are at least 6 freeze plugs in your engine.

There are 4 in the engine block usually under the Exhaust Manifold.

There are at least 2 in the Cylinder Head usually 1 on either end.

To replace you will need good access to it/them a hammer and a punch to remove. Being very carefull not to knock it into the coolant passage. You will want to punch it at the top or bottom so that the plug will rotate outward at the opposite side you punch, then using pair of plyers work it out.

To put new one in you will need something about the same size as the inner diameter as the plug, then carefully tap it in till flush.
