1989 Honda Accord 6 cyl Automatic

My batterey dash light has come on, what does it mean? Since the light has been on, my idle is running higher then normal. Plus, after getting home from a 10 mile trip, when I put it in park, it jerked.

It means there is a problem with charging system, usually alternator.

Take to local autoparts store and have alternator checked, this is a free service.
