Have at a local garage friend working on, their stumped. Already changed the fuel filter, adjusted idling, bought from original owner. Please been reading all over the place where it could be anything form a simple PCV valve, carburetor itself, vacuum hoses, not very car savvy either so I know that don't help. Any help on where to start would greatly be appreciated. Need this car to get from point a to b reliably. Also I do remember when they sprayed carb cleaner into it the idle picked up. It idled really low and stalled at first without keeping foot on gas and brake at the same time. Now as long as you keep both your foot on gas and brake at same time it will stay running for the most part but I can't drive my car like that. Also he said when he was test driving unless you really step on gas it would not idle right and wants to die also. Any responses or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thank you lost in Hellam PA 2.0 litre

Hi NeedHelp1988HondaAccord,

Thank you for the donation.

Problem should to be a fault with the idle system.

What is the idling speed after warming up?
Has the carburettor been serviced?
Is the float chamber level correct?
Does operating the A/C cause any changes in the idling speed ( if equipped)?
