1988 Honda Accord Getting the car to start

Electrical problem
1988 Honda Accord 4 cyl Automatic 120000 miles

The car will not turn over. As long as I hold the ignition key in the position I need to start it in it will run. When I let go of the key it dies instantly. Can you give me any ideas where to look. The spark plugs have been replaced and it is a new battery.

Sounds like your ignition switch needs to be replaced.
