Sometimes I have to giggle the gearshift in park or neutral in order to get car to start. Could it be the neutral switch?

Hi there,
Yes, most probably is a neutral switch, i would have the adjustment checked first, before fitting a new one, as with older cars things wear and can come out of adjustment first. also check the selectors are adjusted as well.
