1986 Honda Accord alternator

Electrical problem
1986 Honda Accord Front Wheel Drive Manual 186000 miles

I have to remove the ball joint on left side to get the alternator out and its rusted and can't budge it. Already tried a pickle fork and that didn't work either.
What else can I do?

Hi there,

Often you just need to give the stub axle housing(where the ball joint fits in) a decent belt with a heavy hammer, watch you don't damage the rubber bot and the thread, this will often shock the taper free.
