Transmission problem
1986 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I was driving down the freeway in 5th gear when all of a sudden the engine was reving high and 5th gear is no longer there. I still have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & reverse but no 5th. There was no grinding sound when I lost 5th gear.

Hi there,

Check that the transmission is actually selecting %th gear, if it is, the problem will be internally. check this first.
