I can't seem to located the PCV valve and hose anywhere. I need to change the valve or at least check it but I can't find it.
Can you help please?

Hello
Thanks for the donation

Your 1983 Honda Accord is not equipped with a Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve.

Thank you.
That's what I thought because I know that they are usually located right off the valve cover.
So, my car runs fine but idles really irradically then stalls (usually after driving for a while).
When I kill the engine, the car makes an explosive "thunk" and a sucking sound comes from the engine right after (sounds like in the carb area).
Any ideas what to do?

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Have you inspect all vacuum hoses and connections to make sure all is OK?
