1993 Other Holden Models 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

I HAVE A 2.8 LITRE TURBO DIESEL HOLDEN RODEO USING OIL TOLD IT WAS TURBO GOT NEW TURBO BUT WAS STILL THE SAME SO GOT NEW RINGS BUT STILL THE SAME. SEEN ANOTHER MECHANIC AND HE RECKONS THE ALTINATER WHERE IT GOES INTO THE MOTOR IS SOME PART THAT'S DOING IT. BECAUSE ITS OIL COOLED. COULD THIS BE THE CAUSE THANKS.

Hi there,

I believe that these alternators have a vacuum pump attached to the back of them, any way if the engine is burning oil, this will not be the cause, what grade of oil are you using, it should be specific deisel turbo not syn oil, I use in my work shop Shell Rimular X with never a problem on turbo engines, what are you using?
