i have a 1999 calais,the key is stuck in the ignition barrel,it will only turn enough to put cd player on but wont turn to start or to get the key out,tried wiggling it and moving the steering wheel back and fourth but its not coming out,if anyone can help it would be great as i have to leave the car unlocked now because i dont have a spare

Hi there, try some powered graphite around the key and try to work it in, this may free it up, if you do get it out don't put it back until you replace the barrel & key, if you have a large number of keys on your key ring, this is the cause of the problem, we see it a lot.
