Air conditioner is not working? No cold air

Hi,

The most common cause of an A/C not producing cold air is due to a low Freon level. Once the Freon meets the minimum charge PSI, the system's low-pressure switch will shut the system down to prevent damage.

If that doesn't help, here is what I suggest. First, try to add Freon to the system to see if that takes care of the problem. Here is a link that shows how it is done:

If that takes care of the problem, great. However, there is the chance of a leak. If there is one, the Freon will leak again and you will have the same problem. So, once it's working, check for leaks. Here is a link showing how that is done:
