I have Holden Vt 5 litre. About 160`000kms on the clock. I have a slight tapping or pinging sound coming from top end. I have replaced oil pressure swiitch 3-4 times now, once the motor warms up the pressure swith stops sending the signal to the dash and begins to leak oil from it. Im assuming result from high oil pressure and there is a blockage internally!! Do you think so?? and what would be the best way to flush or unblock the the problem?? I have tried engin oil flush and a free sticky lifters.. May be i need something stronger?? A frind of mine say`s diesel or kerosene mixed with oil and let the car idel for 5. BUT he did say one will blow the motor up and one will clean the sludge, and that to get advise first?? can you help me please??

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

Can you post the actual hot idle oil pressure, lets see what that is first.
