I have a squeeky noise coming from the belt. i have replaced the belt two months ago, and most of the bearings are new as well, the others are running freely. I have also replaced the tensioner. When I spray a tiny amount of water on the belt it goes away for about 5 seconds. Could it be that the bottom crank pully is too smooth?

Please help, Craig

Hi there,

There are problems with pulley alignment on some V6 commodores, some work shops now have Lazar aligners to check for this problem, tell tale signs are scuffing on the edge or the serpentine belt, also any oil or grease on a pulley will cause a noise sometimes.
