Transmission problem
1996 Holden Commodore 6 cyl Automatic 250000 miles

Hi just recently my car seems to be making a sluggish grinding noise when the transmission moves from 1st to second gear. It seems to go away once the car has been run awhile and heats up. Can you help with possible clues as to what might be the problem. I have checked the transmission fluid level and it is in normal range. Thanks

Hi there,

I would get the transmission serviced & tested by a trans specialist, if there is a problem internally you need to get it picked up ASAP before it becomes a real issue and expensive repair, do this first.
