Where is the fuel filter located?

Hi,

The fuel filter is contained in the fuel sender assembly inside the fuel tank. There is a paper filter element of the fuel filter that traps particles in the fuel that may damage the fuel injection system. To access the filter, the fuel sender assembly (and fuel tank) need to be removed.

You can check under the passenger side below the rear door for an inline filter. I know they used them in older models, but in 2007, I believe that changed. Note that if it has one, it will be mounted to the inside portion of the frame rail. See pic below.
