Had a new battery put in at Walmart today and went on a trip this evening. When climbing a hill my car bogs out jerks loses speed and check engine light starts flashing until I level out.

Hi,

If the check engine light is flashing, that indicates a misfire. Since you have had the battery replaced, check to make sure the terminals are tight and clean.

Next, I need you to take the vehicle to a parts store and have them scan the computer for diagnostic trouble codes. Most stores will do this free of charge. Write down the codes and let me know what they are.

I will watch for your reply.

Take care,

Joe
