My truck runs fine, then sometimes when the clutch is pressed it idles about 200 RPMs higher than normal and pretty much stays there until i shut off the vehicle or rev up the engine to about 5,000 RPMs.

Hi,

Idle speed is controlled by the idle air control valve. This is located on the throttle body and can get dirty and possibly hang up enough to change the idle speed.

If you look at the pic below, it shows the IAC. What I suggest is this. First, service the IAC valve. Make sure there are no carbon deposits in the throttle body where it mounts.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Next, it is wise to also clean the throttle actuator bore. Do this in addition and it should take care of the issue.

Let me know if that helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
