High RPM's and not shifting up

Wouldn't shift as usual. Pulled over to shut off and let it rest a minute. But it didn't restart.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Honestly, we need to start by scanning the computer to see what diagnostic trouble codes are stored. That will direct us.

I realize most people don't own a scanner, but often times a parts store will lend or rent one to you. That is really where we need to start. If you can do that, let me know what codes are found.
