In warm weather when I first start my truck the rpms will drop from 1100 to 600 in a short time, but in very cold weather the rpm's stay up at 1100 rpm's for quite awhile. Any idea what would be the problem?

It's supposed to stay high a little longer in cold weather but if excessive you might want to check for any vacuum leaks and have someone look at all the sensor data to make sure all the temp sensors and TPS are within the normal parameters.

Yes it does stay on high for an extensive amount of time. I will check that out. Thanks for the response!
