I am unfamiliar with this type of connector. How do I release it to remove? I don't want to break it. See attached picture. It has a blue ear on the visible side.

It is only a 2-pin connector.

Hi,

The blue tab is a safety to prevent it from coming off. It should slide out from the connector and then you should be able to depress the release and remove the connector.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

Thanks. The connector was quite brittle. Blue part broke but was able to maintain the key locking feature for re-installing. Thanks.

Hi,

You are very welcome. As far as the connector is concerned, the heat causes them to get that way. If it didn't fall apart, you did good! LOL

Take care of yourself and feel free to come back anytime in the future.
